Cristian “Grismaw” Costa

Travel manager

"I went North and forgot to come back."

He’s the mastermind behind FRAMTours — part explorer, part storyteller, part polar bear whisperer (kind of). Originally from Italy, he swapped pizza and sun for snowmobiles and reindeer — and never looked back.

With over 10 years of adventures in Svalbard, Greenland, Canada and Northern Norway, Cristian has led more expeditions than he can count (but he’s not pretty good at counting). He’s your go-to guy for snow-covered thrills, midnight sun chills, and spotting wildlife without becoming wildlife food. He’s trained in all the serious stuff too — polar bear safety, navigation, and survival — but don’t let that fool you: he’s the one cracking jokes on the satellite phone while brewing Arctic coffee.

Whether you're sailing past glaciers or chasing the northern lights on a snowmobile, Cristian makes sure it’s unforgettable, safe, and packed with "wait, is this real life?" moments.

Filippo Maggi

Photographer, Explorer & Official Polar Ninja

"I freeze my fingers so you can frame the moment."

Filippo Maggi is FRAMTours’ eye behind the lens — the guy who manages to make frostbite look fabulous. With a camera in one hand and a cup of (probably cold) something else in the other, he’s been capturing the wild, raw beauty of the Arctic long before "cold content" became a thing.

Hailing from Italy (yes, another one who ran away from the sun), Filippo swapped geology for the soft glow of the northern lights. He's been shooting in the harshest environments — from Svalbard's icy silence to the snowy chaos of Northern Norway — and still manages to get perfectly focused shots while hanging off a moving Zodiac or knee-deep in reindeer tracks.

He’s not just a photo guy — he’s also the one telling you to move "a liiittle to the left" in -20°C because the glacier behind you is chef’s kiss.

So if your dream is to look epic next to a frozen fjord while someone makes it Instagram-gold? Filippo's your guy.

David Cammoranesi

The Guy Who Freezes Time (and Sometimes Toes)

David doesn’t just organize logistics at FRAMTours — he captures the soul of the Arctic with a camera lens. While most of us are fumbling with frozen fingers trying to unlock our phones, David is already three steps ahead, perched on a windswept ridge, catching the exact moment the light hits a glacier just right.

He’s the kind of guy who knows the northern lights need more than a tripod — they need patience, timing, and just a touch of obsession. Luckily, he’s got all three. He’ll hike through a snowstorm for the perfect angle, wait hours in minus 20 just to catch a curious fox peeking out of a snowdrift, and still have time to adjust your camera settings if you ask nicely.

Whether it's golden-hour magic over the Lyngen Alps or a breaching whale under a lavender sky, David makes it look like nature posed just for him. His photos tell the stories we can’t put into words — wild, raw, and unforgettable.

So if you spot someone vanishing into the tundra with a camera, a huge grin, and a backpack full of lenses, don’t worry. That’s just David.

Matteo Mourglia

The glacier whisperer (who also wear glasses)

Matteo is FRAMTours’ official mountain goat, glacier nerd, and "wait, is that safe?" guy — and the answer is always yes… as long as Matteo’s leading. With the curiosity of a scientist and the energy of someone who probably drinks his weight in Arctic coffee, Matteo turns frozen landscapes into living classrooms (and adventure playgrounds).

Armed with encyclopedic knowledge and a pair of fogged-up glasses, he can name every ridge, explain the age of the ice under your feet, and still manage to find a shortcut to a better view. If there's a snowshoe trail through a reindeer valley, a secret fox den near a glacier, or the exact spot to get that postcard-perfect photo — Matteo's already there, waiting with a grin and a snack.

He’s also the guy who’ll casually drop glacier facts during a hike, then whip out a camera and take a portrait of you that somehow looks like a Patagonia ad. He might not say he’s part snow owl, part geologist, part stand-up comedian… but you’ll suspect it by the end of day one.

From leading snowmobile missions to translating the silence of Svalbard into something magical, Matteo’s the kind of guide who turns Arctic travel into something personal, poetic — and just the right amount of chaotic in the best way.
