Located just a short drive from the city center, yet far enough to escape light pollution, the Aurora Safari Camp is one of the most comfortable and reliable places to witness the aurora borealis in Northern Norway. Unlike crowded group tours or fast-paced chases, this is a place where you can settle in, stay warm, and wait for the lights in comfort.

The tour typically lasts 4–8 hours, depending on the night’s success.

The camp is placed in an area with minimal artificial light and optimal views of the northern sky. It’s not just luck — this spot was chosen for its reliable weather patterns and aurora visibility. Even when conditions shift quickly (as they do in the Arctic), this is one of your best chances of seeing the lights.

Join our Aurora Camp, you will bring by our guides towards our private places, chose according with the weather forecast, where you could find a modern area or a traditional Sami tents, the heated lavvu tents are the perfect base camp. They provide shelter from the cold, a place to relax, and a cozy atmosphere that feels both rustic and refined. Think reindeer hides, candles, and a calm ambience — ideal for both photographers and first-time visitors.

SAFETY CONSIDERATION:

The tour may include a short walk (maximum 200m). We may encounter ice, snow, mud or something else. Temperatures could be very cold (-35 ° C or so), so please dress appropriately.
